Saturday, July 10, 2010 19:55 - Units were alerted with the 3rd BFC for the report of smoke coming from the House in the 1600 Block of W Street, SE. E15 cleared a medical local and picked up 5th due on the box. Rescue 3 was fueling up and was not assigned to the run. BFC3 arrived on the scene with a 2 story single family dwelling with smoke showing from the top floor and a report of occupants trapped. First arriving companies removed 2 occupants from the structure to awaiting EMS personnel. E15 was assigned the RIT upon their arrival, and then re-assigned to cover the 1st floor. The 2nd alarm was requested and brought Rescue 3 to the scene. Rescue 3 relieved Rescue 1 on the fire floor and completed the primary search which proved negative. Units remained on the scene until 2315 hours.
