Saturday, February 6, 2010 - At 1611 hours Rescue 3 was alerted to a building collapse in the 2200 block of 12th St. N.E, while enroute Squad 3 was flagged down by citizens alerting them to a house on fire at 1314 T St. S.E. The Squad notified OUC that they were on the scene with a confirmed working fire and asked for the box assignment. The Rescue completed a search of the fire bulding along with the exposures removing a total of 3 victims. Since the closest engine company was a couple minutes out the Squad held the fire in check with water cans until help could arrive. Units had the fire under control within 20 minutes and units began clearing the scene within the hour.
